About me

Charleston-based artist Erika Paola was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She debuted in the world of art at the early age of 13 when she exhibited her work at the Círculo de Bellas Artes Quito. Since then, Erika has cultivated her artistic talents under several prominent Latin American artists.

Erika resided in Europe for over a decade, pursuing the mastery of capturing and expressing beauty. Through her study of Interior Design in Florence, she discovered the Italians’ art of living well, “l'arte del buon vivere.” Erika continued her studies in Madrid at the Universidad Complutense graduating in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting, sculpting and murals. Erika's paintings and murals have been commissioned and featured in exhibits in Madrid and Barcelona.

One can observe the European and Latin influence in her work. Erika's unique approach is the result of her international journey as well as the multiple techniques she has learned throughout her career. Her polished style has evolved from a colorful, magical realism to a precise linear and meditative art.

Destiny brought Erika to Charleston where she lives with her husband who has played a key role in the development of this new collection. Capturing great attention from critics, Erika Paola's Line Art celebrates clean lines and geometry, as well as both the energy and meditative form of its subjects.
